Heroes are not recognized by how they start, but by how they end…
A war that would change everything. Literally everything. And the world outside the window would be based on the principles of enslavement and racial segregation. In many places on planet Earth there would be slave colonies. And something like human rights and personal inviolability would be reserved only for a privileged group of people.

The facts speak for themselves
For example, Europe. In its center during World War II there was the General Government. A German slave colony in which its inhabitants were destined for only one purpose. To work for their Masters. Until they lost their strength and died from exhaustion.
It is estimated that about 2,500,000 inhabitants of Poland were captured and turned into slaves so that they would serve the might of Greater Germany with their work.
Based on the population censuses, the population of Poland decreased by 10,000,000 between 1938 and 1946.
War destruction of some cities in Poland in percentage

And although not everything worked out, because the ideal world does not exist. We are on the path to the stars. As free beings and as a family.
Just look at the people of the USA. They are a conglomeration of all of us. There is probably no country in the world whose inhabitants have not contributed their DNA to the American nation.
And although America sometimes seems crazy, there is no other such case in the entire history of humanity, when the state administration kneels before its citizens in a gesture of apology.
