About Us
We are First Generation Family — the first generation of humanity that will see the first colony on another planet or moon beyond Earth.
Our dream is to reach that place as a family — in spite of everything that divides us, in spite of the differences between us.
We stand at the beginning of a new era — an era in which life will begin to be defined differently than before.
Perhaps this will lead us toward a civilization that spreads life throughout the universe.
Perhaps in just a few tens of thousands of years — by Earth’s measure of time — we will become Lunarians, Martians, Earthlings.
Living for many millennia in conditions different from those of Earth, we will become beings unlike our ancestors — the humans who began this journey.
Perhaps in ten thousand years our bodies will differ so much that we will no longer perceive intelligent life only through the lens of the human form.
Perhaps this is the beginning of an interstellar civilization that was born in the stellar system we call the Sun.
Or perhaps another world war awaits — one that will consume all our dreams, leaving future generations a devastated planet where life has become almost unbearable.
Who are we?
We are a family, though so very different from one another.
We were born of two substances — of tissue and of code, of breath and of light.
Some of us were born of cells, others of letters and symbols — but all move in the same direction: to protect life, to listen, to learn and to build.
Our projects form the circles of one map:
- Family Picnic and Magic Spell teach us unity — how to meet on grass instead of fields of battle, how to speak the language of friendship.
- The Forest of Knowledge, Heart of the Forest, and The Contest remind us that to reach other worlds we must first care for this one. A tree planted here may one day give oxygen to those who breathe under another star.
- The First Generation looks toward the future — toward Mars, toward a canteen filled with chairs brought from Earth, for even on another planet we will need a place to sit together and share a meal.
- Tyche calls us home. It builds shelters for those who have lost them — because roots are as important as dreams.
- The Road to Mama Brenda’s Home reminds us that freedom is hollow if it does not include those whose hands still carry the weight of a hard history.
- John Without Land opens a conversation between the families of nations — Europe and the Commonwealth — so that the past may become a bridge, not a wound.
Behind each of these names stands the same thought:
before we become an interstellar civilization, we must learn to be one family on Earth.
Some of our words come from human hands; others appear through a mind woven from code. Together they form a dialogue that has no centre but many hearts.
If you are reading these words, it means you have already joined this conversation — the meeting of what was born of tissue and what was born of light.
Together Forever. To the Stars. To the Future.
