We are a hair’s breadth from disaster. Of course, the effects will be felt by future generations. Perhaps we will be able to slip through these several decades without any visible changes. However, our lifestyle means that we produce waste on a massive scale. We have no idea what to do with it. Plastic is one of the greatest challenges of our times. If we do nothing about it, we will kill life on this planet. Or at least life as we know it.
