Vodou Island where there is constant war. Although the history of this nation is short, it is incredibly turbulent. They were born of revolution and the desire to change the world for the better, and they got stuck somewhere in the middle. Not knowing where to go. They came to a place where there is only pain and suffering. A constant struggle against adversity and mismanagement.
The Haitians have fought countless battles in a war they are losing.
They are constantly fighting among themselves for their rights, not realizing that they are standing on the edge of a precipice. They are close to fall off a cliff.
But their hardest battle is with garbage. Without proper logistics, they have no chance. And the consequences are catastrophic. In Haiti, you can see on a micro scale how serious a problem plastic is. It is literally everywhere. Only a few are trying to do something about it.
However, despite all the adversities and disasters that befall them, they still believe and do not lose hope. Hope that this dream freedom will come someday for them…
